Great Lakes Visitor Center
Due to snow damage in 2008, the Visitor Center is closed until further notice.
One of the most popular attractions at the Ludington State Park is the Great Lakes Visitor Center. It is located on the south side of the Sable River just minutes from the campgrounds and beaches. During the summer months, the Visitor Center is open daily from 10am-5pm, and offers interesting displays, slide presentations, videos and live programs. People of all ages can gain a better understanding of the wildlife and geology that is unique to the Ludington State Park, and learn about Great Lakes history. You’ll also find a huge satellite map and three-dimensional maps of the Great Lakes.
Shop for a souvenir at the gift shop, or relax in the air conditioned auditorium, home to spectacular slide shows and award-winning videos. The Great Lakes Visitor Center is just one more gem within the "Queen of the State Parks".
